Classical guitarist and composer Carlos Enrique Gonzalez was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. At the age of 15, he began studying classical guitar with two gifted musicians: Ramon Justicia and Juan Sorroche. It was at this early age he demonstrated not only his ability to play, but also to compose. He attended the Pablo Casals Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico and studied composition with Amaury Veray, harmony and counterpoint with Antonio Ramirez, and classical guitar with Leonardo Egurbida.
